Roisín McDonough, Chief Executive, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, has congratulated local charity, Arts Care, for showcasing the benefits of arts activities on health. The charity Art and Health evaluation project, Dreams (this year’s winner of the Blair L. Sadler International Healing Arts Competition) ‘reinforces that art in healthcare settings can play a real part in bettering patients outcome,’ said McDonough. ‘The Arts Council has a strong track record of public art in hospitals. In recent years we have invested just under £1.2m in a variety of healthcare facilities across Northern Ireland and the award is a welcome recognition that new art works, along with high quality architecture, can enrich the lives of patients, staff and visitors.’ For more information, CLICK HERE
