Arts Council England has thanked the public for its enthusiastic participation in the arts debate, the Council’s first-ever public value inquiry. Catherine Bunting, Director of Research at Arts Council England pointed out that ‘by May 11, the close of the public consultation, the web site had seen over 30,000 visitors, hundreds of comments had been made on discussion forums and many people had taken part in local consultations.’ ‘Now is a timely opportunity to say a warm thank you to everyone who has taken part – without you we would not have access to such invaluable insight to inform our future ambitions and to continue to make a strong case for the arts.
