French Ministry for Culture and Communication Revises Publications

The department of statistics of the French Ministry for Culture and Communications has revised its publications in order to improve the regularity of its published works. This revision has resulted in the disappearance of a number of publications. Four New Downloadable collections (in French) can be found at http://www2.culture.gouv.fr/deps/: Cultural data: this new collection takes over from the old statistical notes of the observatory of cultural employment and statistical notes of the Departments. First edition: “Employment trends in the performing arts”, Frédérique Patureau, Eric Cléron Culture Studies: this collection presents a synthesis of the studies and research carried out by the department. It thus serves for cultural development. First edition: “Focus on small scale editors”, Bertrand Legendre Culture Forecast: dedicated to the investigation of hypotheses, original ideas, and predictive works, on fields known more on experimental grounds, this collection is open to works carried out within the departments, but also for external works (research, theses, etc to generate debate and exchange within the scientific community. First Edition: “The digital recording industry, How will this industry evolve?”, Marc Bourreau, Michel Gensollen and François Moreau Cultural Methods: this collection makes available to the public procedure documents in the domains of competence of the departments (economics, sociology, statistics, etc.). First Edition: “The first principles for the analysis of the local economic impact of a cultural activity”, Yann Nicolas. These collections replace three of the current collections: Cultural Development (last edition number: No 152), Notes from the Cultural Employment Observatories (last edition number: No 47) and Statistical Notes (last edition number: No 24).
