The Arts Council is pleased to announce the third group of organisations to participate in the Touring Experiment. The Touring Experiment is an initiative of the Arts Council - a two year action research project designed to inform and shape future policy for touring in the Republic of Ireland. The Touring Experiment will present its recommendations to the Arts Council early in 2008. Under this third and final round, following submissions of over 38 Expressions of Interest, twenty six detailed proposals seeking a total of c. €650K were considered. The Arts Council decision means that over €280k has now been offered to a further fifteen companies and individual artists in five art forms. This brings the total allocated by the Arts Council to the Touring Experiment to over €2.1m.
