Do you have problems when trying to translate terms like "Kulturelle Bildung", "Kulturvermittlung" or "Arts Education" into another language? Thanks to Cultuurnetwork Nederlands a first pilot phase of the European Glossary Initiative could be carried out by establishing a database which contains terms used by European countries in the field of arts and cultural education and their descriptions. Terms are shown in the language of origin; their description can be consulted in English, French and German. The database currently contains a limited number of terms restricted to three categories. Terms relate to arts and cultural education for pupils and students up to the age of 18 Countries taking part up to now are Austria, Belgium. France, Germany, Greece, The Netherlands and United Kingdom.
