Planning and Partnership Development Manager Scottish Museums Council UK, Scotland, Edinburgh (Job Share - 2 days per week) Salary £24,942 - £28,422 per annum pro rata Scottish Museums Council (SMC) is the membership organisation and lead sector- strategic agency for over 340 museums and galleries across Scotland. SMC is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual who is committed to the museum and gallery sector, has experience of partnership working and a good understanding of the policy context at national and local level in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of Scotland’s key cultural organisations with a diverse membership, a dedicated staff and a Board committed to SMC’s vision of a welcoming museums and galleries sector that opens doors and celebrates collections, inspiring creativity, learning and enjoyment for all. Your responsibilities will include supporting the museums and galleries sector to meet with the requirements of local authority initiatives in Scotland. This will include developing partnership working opportunities locally, nationally and regionally. This post will also contribute to ongoing strategic policy work, such as the development of the Quality Assurance Framework and work on the evidence base on the contribution that Museums and Galleries make to Scotland’s culture.
