Diane Dodd, IFACCA's European liaison officer, attended the Tenth Annual Ministerial Meeting of the International Network on Cultural Policy (INCP) held in Seville, Spain, on 20-21 September.
Hosted by Mr. César Antonio Molina Sanchez, Minister of Culture of Spain and the 2007 President of the INCP, the meeting was aimed at advancing the international discussion on the implementation of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (UNESCO Convention).
The meeting brought together 43 delegations from every region of world, 26 of which were led by Ministers of Culture. IFACCA was invited as an observer.
Ministers unanimously agreed on the importance of the effective and timely implementation of the Convention in order to ensure that the diversity of cultural expressions is protected and promoted world-wide.
