You will work as part of a small team that is responsible for supporting the development of contemporary visual arts across Scotland. You will have responsibility for a programme of funding schemes for individual visual artists, encouraging excellence and innovation by supporting the work of artists at different stages of their careers. You will also be involved in the development of initiatives that support the development of collections of contemporary art and that stimulate the sales of artists’ work. You will have a strong understanding of the visual arts sector, a good overview of national and international developments in this field and a good understanding of individual artistic practice.
