The Ministry of Culture of Colombia, the Convenio Andrés Bello and the District’s Secretariat for Culture, Leisure and Sport of Bogotá carried out, on March 12-14, 2008, the International Seminar Policies for the Funding of the Entertainment Arts, which aimed to generate a space for reflection, discussion, encounter and exchange of knowledge and experiences on policies for the funding of the entertainment arts. High-level international and national experts took part.

The Seminar was directed at local, national and international public authorities in charge of designing and implementing cultural policies; researchers in social sciences and in economic, knowledge and creative policies; students of arts, economy, business, management, commerce and related areas, and cultural managers and administrators.

The Seminar was part of the special events of the XI Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro, which takes place in Bogotá, Colombia on March 7-23, 2008. The Colloquium Cultural Policies in Switzerland, also part of the special events, will be held in the Colombian National Museum on March 22.
