The Arts Council requires a senior manager to oversee the financial management of a major public sector agency.  The post holder will manage an annual budget approaching  €100m, ensure that the Council complies with the public sector regulatory environment within which it operates, lead the Finance team and be a member of the senior management team.

Context
The Arts Council has re-organised and established a number of teams to lead and support its work in key areas of strategic importance to arts development and to better equip itself to deliver on its strategic aims as outlined in Partnership for the Arts. The re-organisation, in addition to recently implemented technology enhancements, aim to achieve more effective and efficient business processes in order to provide excellent customer service to the public, the arts community and other key stakeholders within the public and voluntary sector.

Role Overview
The Finance Director will continue to ensure that appropriate financial systems are in place to support the work of the Arts Departments and the Operations Department in delivering the Arts Council’s objectives.
