The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe in conjunction with SFM Radio Station is running a weekly 30 minute long programme that has been running since January this year and has been hailed as ‘something fresh for the arts’ by artists, arts associations and arts enthusiasts.

The programme moves away from the usual profiling of artists and announcing arts events but focus on real arts and cultural issues affecting the industry.  Some of the issues that have been discussed on the programme are:  HIV/AIDS and the Artist, Role of Arts Promoters, Artists’ Social Responsibility Programmes, State of the Film Sector, 2010 World Cup – Is the Arts Sector Ready?, Strategies for Marketing the Arts and Intellectual Property Issues in the Arts among other issues.
