We are looking for a passionate and driven candidate with a proven track record of success in the professional arts to provide advice to artists, arts sector organisations and Creative New Zealand committees. You will have a key role in carrying out various arts initiatives in support of Creative New Zealand's strategic plan. This position is based in our Auckland office.
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant undergraduate qualification and demonstrated experience in:
- Arts practice, planning, administration or management.
- Understanding of government policies and processes relating to arts access, participation, professional practice and arts development
- A background in literature would be an advantage
You will also be able to demonstrate:
- Appreciation of issues influencing arts development in New Zealand
- Knowledge of New Zealand relevant arts organisations and networks and their contribution to the arts sector
- A customer service focus
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to the principles of the Treaty or Waitangi
