World Summit Coordinator appointed

IFACCA,
19 August 2008, South Africa

IFACCA is pleased to announce that the National Arts Council of South Africa has appointed Rosie Katz as the Coordinator of the 4th World Summit on Arts and Culture.

Rosie, who started in the coordinator role in April, has worked in different facets of the arts and cultural industries for nearly thirty years, with particular emphasis on the South African music industry. Her career spans from artist management to major event coordination in numerous countries throughout Africa. A significant part of her career has been dedicated to arts development, working closely with government and the private sector to implement national projects designed to strengthen the economic growth and development of the creative industries. We look forward to continuing to work with Rosie on this exciting event.

The 4th World Summit will be held in Joburg, South Africa on in 22-25 September 2009.  It will be co-hosted by the National Arts Council of South Africa and IFACCA, with the support of the South African Department of Arts and Culture, the Province of Gauteng (Department of Sport, Arts, and Recreation) and the City of Johannesburg (Directorate of Arts, Culture and Heritage and the Johannesburg Tourism Company).
