Dr. Horacio Galeano Perrone clarified that the complaint made by the lawyer Pedro Celestino Gomez de la Fuente against former Minister Blanca Ovelar de Duarte is a personal one. It is not the Ministry of institutional education and culture, since this requires the intervention of the Directorate General of Administration and Finance, in addition to the instruction of an administrative inquiry to eventually derive results to the courts that apply.

"In telephone communication with Dr. Ovelar, I explained this situation" said Dr. Galeano Perrone, stressing that he is not able to accuse or judge on the alleged events that occurred during the administration of Dr. Ovelar of the MEC.

The minister further clarified that Pedro Gomez de la Fuente is a ministry official that said during the administration of Dr. Ovelar there were committed serious irregularities in the management of funds provided by the Entidad Binacional Yacyretá and by Unesco.

"Do not look backwards" emphasized Dr. Galeano Perrone, the new Minister for Education and Culture, and added that the aim should be to look to the future with hope and work to realize the aspiration of the entire Paraguayan citizenship.
