The Culture Minister Cesar Antonio Molina, today presented data from his department's budget for 2009, staffed by 922.8 million euros, 5.23 million euros more than in 2008 (0.57% increase).

The Department will have a total budget of 922.8 million euros of which 607.1 million will go to public institutions. Broken down as follows:

-ICAA: 120.1 M €
-National Library: 52.9 M €
-Management Infrastructure: 158.2 M €
-National Museum Art Center Reina Sofia: 58.8 M €
-INAEM: 170.9 M €
-Museo del Prado: 46.2 M €.

For the first time a program, with a 27.1 million euros budget, will be established to provide financial support to cultural industries.
