ECF announced this week that Wolfgang Petritsch has accepted to be the ECF's new Chair. Mr Petritsch is well-known for the key role he played as EU Chef Diplomat in the Kosovo peace negotiations (1999) and his engagement as Special EU Representative for Bosnia Hercegovina. Since March 2008 he has been Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Austria to the OECD in Paris.
He combines profound cultural knowledge with intellectual sharpness and European engagement. He will be working closely with ECF's President, HRH Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands.
Mr Petritsch's has already made an important input in the start-up phase of the Balkan Incentive Fund for Culture.
