Creative Programmer for 2012 Cultural Olympiad
Temporary post to March 2011 (possible extension to Dec 2012 - subject to funding)

1. Introduction
This post is for a Creative Programmer for 2012 Cultural Olympiad. The London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games and its integral Cultural Olympiad represent a unique opportunity to make a real and lasting difference in Northern Ireland. This unique position is designed to seize and build on that opportunity. This post will be pivotal in meeting regional and national ambitions. It will lead on the curation and programming of many aspects of the Cultural Olympiad in NI and also operate as the NI representative of the London 2012 Culture, Ceremonies and Education Team. The post holder will be line managed by a Director within the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

2. Terms and Conditions
Salary Range  £30,142 - £38,893 per annum pro rata

Pension Scheme  The Council offers a contributory pension scheme operated through the Northern Ireland Local Government Officers Superannuation Committee.

Probationary Period  The appointment will commence with a probation period of six months which may be terminated at a month’s notice by either side during the period.

Annual Leave  Twenty five working days per annum.  The leave year runs from
1st March to 28/29th February.

Hours of Business
Office Hours  Flexi-Time  
Monday to Thursday  9.00am to 5.30pm   8.00am to 6.30pm
Friday    9.00am to 5.00pm   8.00am to 6.00pm

(including one hour for lunch every day)

The post holder must be willing and able to work outside the Arts Council’s normal office and flexi-time hours.

Office Location  The post is based at the Arts Council’s headquarters, 77 Malone Road, Belfast.
