Job Description :  
- Play leading role & propose the development of a comprehensive plan for programmes (including community and educational), with the intention to position the gallery as a prime arts destination for Singapore (including the gallery opening activities);
- Work with the gallery curatorial, marketing, communications & development teams to develop exhibition & general public programmes for gallery & help to source for suitable incoming exhibitions & programmes
- Help Develop & drive collaborative programming with various institutions to make the precinct surrounding gallery a vibrant & exciting lifestyle attraction;
- To work closely with MOE to further define the educational mission of the NAG & how it can support the arts curriculum in schools;
- To play leading role in the development & management of the children gallery and activity spaces for children and family visitors to the NAG.
 
 
Job Requirements :  
The ideal candidate would have relevant visual arts background and in-depth working knowledge of the latest developments in the arts and museum industry. At least 8 - 10 years experience in programming and management of large scale festivals and exhibitions involving visual, performing and moving images. He/ she would also have familiarity with Asian art forms and practices, and good working contacts with international arts venues and artists. He/she should posses the relevant linguistic skills to enhance the content of the programmes, develop partnerships with other organisations and the community at large. Experience in development of museum programmes for local communities and educational audiences would be advantageous.
