Alun Ffred Jones, the Minister for Heritage has today (31 March) announced the re-appointment of four members to the Arts Council of Wales.
The re-appointed members are Ms Debbie Wilcox, Mr Robin Morrison, Dr Ian Rees and Ms Maggie Hampton.
The current terms of appointment of all four members end on 31 March 2009, and they have all agreed to serve a further term until 31 March 2012.
Alun Ffred Jones said:
"I am pleased that Debbie Wilcox, Robin Morrison, Ian Rees and Maggie Hampton have all agreed to continue their work on the Council. These are challenging times for the arts in Wales and I'm sure their experience will be valuable for the Arts Council moving forwards"
Dai Smith, Chair of the Arts Council of Wales, warmly welcomed the Minister's re-appointments and said:
"It is vital that Arts Council of Wales carries forward the continuity in knowledge and experience held by these Council Members, both in their own areas of professional expertise and in their personal engagement with the arts as citizens. As Chair, I am deeply indebted to the support and advice given so freely by Debbie, Ian, Robin and Maggie and delighted they will continue to act as our Council members over the next three years."
