The Agency for Cultural Affairs has developed a portal site, “Japanese Culture and Art Online”, which provides a range of information about Japanese culture and arts in English. This site is designed to facilitate international cultural exchange with Japan by making such information available so that art directors, producers, curators, coordinators, art management personnel, and other individuals involved in overseas cultural and artistic fields can obtain information about the industries and institutions associated with Japanese culture and arts. Currently, a prototype of the site is accessible on the web on a test basis in order to evaluate its user-friendliness.
The Agency for Cultural Affairs will continue improving the contents and means of providing information on the site in accordance with the results of the evaluation of its operation.
