We invite all our ACORNS readers to register now for the World Summit to be held in Joburg, South Africa, on 22-25 September 2009.

The Summit theme: Meeting of Cultures: Creating Meaning through the Arts, has informed the programme and keynote speakers which have been announced.  Further announcements will be made soon about the roundtable sessions with topics including: Can the arts market promote cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue?; Alternative arts financing: microfinance models; and The ‘Rainbow Nation’: what can South Africa teach the world about intercultural relationships.

The Summit hotel is the Crowne Plaza Rosebank – the hotel is providing a reduced rate for delegates registered to attend the World Summit. All IFACCA member events (the CEO Leadership Seminar, Members’ Lunch and General Assembly) will be held at the hotel.

Planning is also well underway for the Opening Ceremony, and more details will be announced in coming editions of ACORNS.
