The Ministry of Culture from today publishes the journal Culture Networked, which will be available on its website (www.mcu.es). The goal is to make the projects of the Ministry of Culture and its cultural institutions known using the support of information technologies.

Online culture responds to the commitment of the Ministry of spreading Spanish culture in all its diversity and to the greatest possible number of professionals and citizens to develop technology initiatives to ensure and facilitate access to culture.

Technical Resources
The Ministry of Culture is the repository of a large number of cultural resources whose wealth can be glimpsed through its website, that throughout this year until the month of September had nearly eight million visitors and 140 million pages consulted. Independently or in collaboration with other institutions, the Ministry uses these technologies to give greater publicity to the bibliographic heritage, documentary, art, artistic creation, literary and film, music, performing arts and audiovisual media.

The new digital online culture magazine incorporates specific features which enrich the content by providing them with interactive and engaging for the user. Apart from the web or in PDF format, is available in Flash format, which allows search and print pages, zoom and search for content within the magazine. These features are complemented by others such as subscription content syndication or distribution lists, and the ability to "send to a friend" link to the journal by e-mail with the option to add user comments.
