Between November 28 and December 4, Interarts visited Ayacucho to meet with the those in charge of the local project FOMECC Peru, that is run by Interarts in collaboration with Huamanga’s Provincial Municipality and supported by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID). The venue and the timetable for the project were confirmed. The cultural sector’s diagnosis of the 15 districts that make up Huamanga province is underway. Entrepreneurs of this field will benefit from this project that intends to develop their capacities in order to make a sustainable professional solution out of their cultural or artistic activity. In January 2010 the first activity will take place: a workshop on cultural entrepreneurship in the Andean given by Gonzalo Pizarro, expert in cultural entrepreneurship in the Andean region and collaborator of Colombia’s FOMECC project, where took place the pioneer of this initiative that Interarts develops in various countries.
