Culture Minister meets with representatives of the Internet sector

The meeting addressed policy reform measures in the field of intellectual property covered by the Draft Law on Sustainable Economy. Both the Ministry and industry representatives have agreed on the need to enhance Internet and develop online content.

The Minister of Culture, Angeles Gonzalez-Sinde, met this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry with representatives of the Internet industry: entrepreneurs, bloggers, analysts and journalists. The meeting addressed, among other things, measures to reform rules on intellectual property included in the Draft Law on Sustainable Economy.

The meeting was convened by the Ministry of Culture to establish a first contact and opening a broad dialogue and exchange in a constructive manner on a plurality of views among representatives of the Internet and officials from the Ministry.

Enhancing Internet
Likewise, Gonzalez-Sinde has expressed support for maintaining an open dialogue with industry representatives and called on them to keep future encounters.

All participants have agreed with the Ministry of Culture in the need for enhanced Internet and develop online content as one of the strategies to overcome the crisis towards a model of productive and competitive economy.
