Associations of illustrators and photographers in the USA, like the American Society of Media Photographers, the Graphic Arts Association or Professional Photographers of America have taken legal action against Google for creating a massive digital library that, in their opinion, violates their rights as authors.

The graphic arts associations and the American Author’s Association are asking Google for 125 million dollars and for the distribution of the profits obtained from publicity and book sales.
