Tribute ceremony for Spain's Intangible Cultural Heritage

An act to disseminate and give recognition to the various cultural events in Spain that have received recognition from UNESCO.

At 9pm in the Reina Sofia Museum a tribute act to mark the inclusion of Spanish candidates for Intangible Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO will take place. Chaired by the Minister of Culture, Ángeles González-Sinde and the Minister of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Rosa Aguilar.

It is an act to disseminate and give recognition to the various cultural events that have earned this recognition: the whistle gum, the mystery of Elche, Patum of Berga, the Courts of Irrigation in the Mediterranean, Flamenco, Mediterranean diet, falconry The song of the Sibyl hand human castles.

The celebration will include the participation of those responsible for culture from the regions involved in the nominations, Extremadura, Murcia, Andalucia, Castilla and Leon, the Balearic Islands and Catalonia.

In addition, there will be performances that represents this group of manifestations. Along with an exhibition of birds of prey, the courtyard of the museum will display Silbo Gomero, proceedings of the Sibil.la Lluc, guitarist Javier Conde, the dancer Jesus Fernandez and singer Esperanza Fernández. For its part, the chef Paco Roncero will demonstrate a culinary tribute to the Mediterranean diet.
