Tasks set to workers of culture and art

The decisions adopted at the recent meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the tasks set by the President to the high-ranking officials of this sphere were the focus of a meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting. The meeting brought together the cabinet ministers, heads of the cultural ministries and departments, workers of culture and art, representatives of the public organisations and journalists.

The meeting agenda focused on the issues related to implementing the Turkmen leader’s instructions to implement the programme of cultural actions and the ceremonies of opening cultural and social facilities, which would take place on the eve of the 20th anniversary of independence and dedicated to this landmark, historic event in life of the Turkmen state. The meeting participants adopted the action plan for the opening of the cultural and methodology centre at the new Palace of Happiness.

During the government meeting President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the cultural and methodology centre should aim its activity at supporting spiritual Revival of the nation, promoting the national culture, traditions and customs and strengthening unity and solidarity of the Turkmen people. These aims are set to cultural and art workers by the important tasks to establish a new creative unit as an exemplary professional collective that deserves implementing the cultural policy of the state and fostering respect for lofty spiritual and moral principles in youth.

Today the new Palace of Happiness embodies the triumph of life and creation, everlasting beauty, joy of life and fidelity to ancestors’ precepts and, in a word, everything that belongs to the age-old values of the Turkmen people and should be perceived by youth as a holy place for the family is one of our highest values, the foundation of the society. In this context the Turkmen leader focused on the need to raise the level of organisation of cultural activities and said that the similar facilities must be built in each region of Turkmenistan.

A detailed discussion of the ways, forms and methods for optimising further the activity to fulfil the tasks set to ministries, departments and khyakimliks of velayats, towns and etraps took place during the meeting. Underlining timeliness of the Turkmen leader’s initiatives, the meeting participants focused on the importance of creative search, original solutions and new approaches in the activity of workers if culture and art. They were unanimous that vast opportunities for creative and professional growth were opened up for workers of culture and art in the epoch of new Revival.

The Turkmen leader emphasizes that the celebrations in honour of the anniversary of independence of the Motherland must reflect unity, cohesion and tremendous creative potential of the Turkmen people. In this context the cultural and methodology centre to be opened at the new Wedding Palace will become a wonderful symbol of national unity, a part of the national culture and an embodiment of the aspirations for new heights.
