How to do social media and digital marketing on minimal budgets and time, the changing web and the arts and using apps in the arts; these are just a few of the meaty topics that will be discussed at Arts Council of Wales’s Arts Marketing Symposium 2011.Held at Clwyd Theatr Cymru on Thursday, 17 November, here’s your opportunity to share best practice, network and catch up with the latest developments in arts marketing. There will be something for everyone at all levels, whether you’re from a small or large organisation, a producer or presenter of the arts.

Good Thinking: How to achieve success in turbulent times - Lisa Baxter
Drawing on Lisa’s extensive experience using Creative Problem Solving workshops to address everything from gallery design and branding to organisational change and audience development, this session will help you think better and smarter in relation to the challenges you face.

Understanding Visitor Behaviour – Andrew McIntyre
Find out how Morris Hargreaves McIntyre have helped galleries and museums to make their exhibitions more engaging and actually measure visitor outcomes.

In addition, Marcus Wilson, a specialist in arts marketing, cultural development and web development will look at what opportunities does the modern web offer for cash-poor/time-poor cultural organisations. What are the pitfalls?
