José Maria Lassalle has been sworn in as Secretary of State for Culture, accompanied by the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, José Ignacio Wert.

At the event, Lassalle has said that in the course of his work, he will seek "wisdom and understanding with all sectors involved in the field of culture." For his part, the minister said that linking the portfolio of Education and Culture is not a loss of interest in this matter but in response to the desire to "simplify and explore synergies between different areas of government to improve it."
