The Ministry of Culture concludes the Sixth National Cultural Forum with the confirmation of the values of "National Cohesion"

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, concluded the Sixth National Cultural Forum, which lasted for two days, 21st and 22nd December 2011, in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, under the title of "national cohesion".  

This was based on the directions of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, focusing on promoting cohesion among community groups, and building cohesion through the initiative launched by the UAE government.

Attended the Forum held a group of officials and intellectuals, writers and those interested in general national affairs, participants reviewed a number of themes through several sessions, including ; "The impact of voluntary work in national cohesion," in which Mr. Bilal Budur, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development and  Assistant for Culture and  Arts, and "The impact of education in national cohesion" where Dr. Obaid Saif Al Hajri, Dr. Abdullah Sueja talked, and Dr. Amna Bu Shihab and Dr. Fatima Al-Sayegh  talked about "the family's role in promoting national cohesion,"  whereas the session, "The role of community institutions in the promotion of national cohesion" was lead by HE Bilal Budur and Dr. Mohammed Murad.

On their turn, the participants priced the invitation of His Highness the Head of State to the cohesion, appreciating the position of his support for the progress of the country and happiness of citizens, and emphasized the importance of cohesion between the members of the community, considering that the foundation of cohesive and strong society, in light of international surroundings, and putting in mind magnitude of the challenges faced by the community.

They noted in their recommendations and their final statement, that the national cohesion must be a renewed goal that cannot be ignored to face all challenges, calling for all country institutions and bodies to work to empower community members, who shall in turn both strengthen the position of the state.
