The Ministry of Culture renders public account on administration of the last 18 months

The President Juan Manuel Santos and his ministers will publicly present an assessment of their administration, on Thursday 9 February. The Minister of Culture, Mariana Garcés Córdoba will make her presentation at 3:30 pm.

What is the main progress, and what are the main results of the National Plan to Promote Reading and Writing? What were the main public works built in cultural infrastructure and heritage? What is the general evaluation of UNESCO’s heritage declarations in Colombia? How has the Global Plan San Basilio de Palenque progressed? Wht is the current state of Teatro Cristóbal Colón’s restauration?

You will get to hear the answers to these questions during the ‘Results Marathon, the Government renders public accounts’ on Thursday 9 February. The public presentation that will last for a whole day will opened by President Juan Manuel Santos at 8:30 am and will last until 7:30 pm.

Each minister will have 30 minutes to present the general assessment of his or her administration to the media and society in general through Canal Institutional (TV Institutional Channel) and the Presidency of the Republic’s website. Minister of Culture, Mariana Garcés Córdoba, will make her presentation from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

Colombians will also be able to participate in this marathon by sending their questions to the ministers through www.urnadecristal.gov.co and by following the public rendering of account of the Ministry of Culture through Twitter @mincultura and Facebook.
