Conferences to promote the law on public entertainment continue

The Ministry of Culture, under the coordination of Manuel José Álvarez, Theatre Advisor of the Arts Direction, and Adriana Hurtado, Legal Advisor of the Arts Direction, is socializing the Law 1493 of 2011 throughout the country.

What are the procedures, terms, conditions and forms related to the payment of contributions to the performing arts and its deductions? Which are the tributary benefits of income tax and value-added tax for public performing arts events? Which are the formalities required to be acknowledged as certified venue and to acquire the authorization of this kind of events in non-certified venues through the single booth that regional institutions must create for this purpose?

Previous conferences have been given in Bogotá on Wednesday, 30 May at Bogotá’s Chamber of Commerce Auditorium, located at Calle 67 No. 8-32, and in Medellin on Thursday, 07 June, at Instituto de Cultura y Patrimonio de Antioquia at Palacio de la Cultura Rafael Uribe Uribe, Carrera 51 # 52-01.

The Law on public entertainment has as objective to strengthen the performing arts subsector of the cultural sector and includes important tax incentives for impresarios and artists.
