At the closing of the 1st International Forum of Cultural Management in Scenic Arts, the Minister of Culture, Luis Peirano Falconi, said it is vital to see activities like this, and even better if the ministry collaborates with what is the genius force of individuals, groups and collectives in a developing society.

"This means," said Falconi Peirano, "that government bureaucracy, generally understood in pejorative terms, actually has a role to play, and it performs well."

He also mentioned the importance of "welding" the elements of cultural management with the artistic spirit.

"That youthful spirit that sometimes made us leave some things aside because we didn’t care about the money, because we didn’t care about the ‘establishment’, and because what was important for us was what we wanted to say and how we felt. These elements must not be lost, but we cannot ignore the fundamental aspects of project management, "he said.

The Minister of Culture was accompanied in the session by the CEO of the Alliance Française, Paul Ely Lévy, and the Director of Production and Social Programs of Tarumba, Estela Paredes.

The forum was an initiative promoted by The Tarumba, the Ministry of Culture and Aeroplano, with the support of Iberescena (Fund for the Performing Arts in Iberoamerica), the Alliance Française and Points of Culture, an agency of the Ministry of Culture . The forum was held from 2 to 5 October in the auditorium of the AF of Miraflores with participating guests from Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Chile and Peru.
