The Ministry of Culture reported that it has received more than 10,800 contributions from citizens as regards the Draft Artist Law.
The Ministry presented to the public the new Law of Artists and Performers that contains a number of innovations as regards the current law.
The proposal aims to establish the recognition, protection, exercise and defense of moral, intellectual, economic and social security rights that apply not only to the artist, singer and performer, but also the technical worker linked to the artistic and creative activity.
In order to continue receiving suggestions to enrich the preparation of this draft the culture ministry has extended the deadline for contributions until 15 December.
It has also organized workshops in Lima and around the country.
