National Culture Award awarded after a 32-year-break


The National Culture Award will be delivered on Tuesday 11 December at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, in a revival of this recognition, after a 32-year hiatus.


An independent jury worked for a month and a half, to determine the winner in each of the three categories: career, creativity and best practices. The winners will receive the award at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture on 11 December.

Priest  Gustavo Gutierrez and painter Cristian Bendayán won the award in the Career and Creativity categories, respectively, while in the category Best Practices Cultural Association Arena y Esteras won.

The qualified members of the jury of the National Culture Award 2012, were composed of two representatives of the Ministry of Culture, a representative of the Ministry of Education, one of the public universities, one private university and two company representatives of Petroperú.
