The Ministry of Culture has approved a remuneration scale for artists who form part of the different national and regional artistic bodies managed by the Ministry of Culture. The scale was approved through the Supreme Decree No. 020-2013-EF, published in the official bulletin El Peruano.

According to the new standard, specialized artists that form part of the National Symphony Orchestra, the National Ballet, the National Folklore Company, the National Choir, the National Children's Choir and the National Youth Symphony Orchestra and the regional artistic bodies of the Ministry of Culture, will receive 12 annual salaries with two bonuses: one for national holidays and a school bonus.
The artists working in the bodies managed by the Ministry of Culture that are included in the new scale, are forbidden to receive any other income, grant or assignment for any reason or source of funding, except those approved by a legal norm.

It was stated in the bulletin that the Ministry of Culture must adapt its management documents according to the approved remuneration scale, and the funds for it will be provided by the institutional budget.
