Through this platform, citizens may report and identify cases, find information about regulations, legal defense mechanisms and the rights of individuals, as well as obtain support for the victims of racial discrimination.
In order to become a tool for linking state and society to address racial discrimination in Peru, the Minister of Culture, Luis Peirano, presented the virtual platform "Alert Against Racism" that aims at building a culture of peace that respects difference and cultural diversity.
"Racism is an issue that involves everyone, the state and the society, and within the seven Cultural Policy guidelines of the Ministry of Culture we have two elements directly linked to combat discrimination: promoting intercultural and promotion of citizenship" , Peirano said.
Through the online platform www.alertacontraelracismo.pe citizens can participate in reporting racial abuse and find detailed information about the rights of individuals, regulations, legal defense and support for the victims of racial discrimination.
