A new cross-border initiative is helping businesses and people working in the creative sector in Leitrim, Fermanagh, Tyrone and the surrounding region to develop new collaborations and take their work to new markets. The Harnessing Creativity Project is offering training workshops, Creative Labs, Master classes, mentoring, regional showcase event & exhibitions for creative businesses and entrepreneurial professionals, up to May 2015.
The first round of free Capacity Building Workshops starts on Thursday 30th May and will focus on Marketing and Promotion. The workshops take place in Carrick-on-Shannon & Enniskillen and will be delivered by expert industry consultants, Ruth Flood (former Head of Research & Evaluation at the Design Council, UK) & Colin McKeown (Chair of Northern Ireland Design Alliance/Industry Advisor to Creative and Cultural Skills), who will show creative businesses how to plan and develop a marketing strategy relevant to their own business, covering online and traditional marketing techniques.
