Call for Articles

Nhimbe-NPAAC will be a launching the NPAAC Journal during the month of September 2013. The NPAAC Journal is an additional effort to increase as well as enhance NPAAC’s role in promoting and supporting theorizing on local arts and culture. The NPAAC Journal will be published three times a year in print and online, as part of the Nhimbe-NPAAC Blog.

Who can contribute to the NPAAC Journal?
Academics who specialize in the areas of arts, culture and heritage will contribute scholarly articles/theses and practitioners in the various cultural fields will contribute articles that will provide a balance between academia and practice.

Contributor guidelines
The first issue to be published in September will focus on:

  •  A review of the new national constitution through arts and culture lens;
  • Making a case for arts and culture during 2014 national budgeting process;
  •  New Parliament and New Cabinet - what is in it for arts and culture in Zimbabwe?

Original articles/theses should be between 1000 and 1200 words. This call is open to Zimbabwean arts and culture academics and practitioners’ in-country and those in the Diaspora. The deadline for the submission of articles is Friday 6 September. Submissions in Word format, together with a biography and image of the author should be emailed to: [email protected]
