PRS for Music Foundation has announced twenty composers and commissioning organisations who will participate in the first ever UK-wide New Music Biennial.

Belfast based Moving On Music are one of the commissions with Avant-garde Piers Hellawell and improvising virtuoso Bourne Davis Kane colliding in a shared space resulting in music created by all of them. The New Music Biennial has been developed in partnership with Creative Scotland, Arts Council England and the British Council and with contribution from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.  The 20 brand new commissions selected from over 130 proposals will receive premiere performances in 2014 across the length and breadth of the UK.

Piers Hellawell and Bourne Davis Kane's Sound Carvings, Strange Tryst commissioned by Moving on Music will premiere on 29th March 2014 at the Brilliant Corners Jazz Festival in Belfast.
