The new publication for children, which brings together the work of Chilean authors and illustrators, will be distributed in the 15 regions of the country, libraries, schools, hospitals and unconventional reading spaces.

The National Council for Culture and the Arts, through the National Plan for the Promotion of Reading Lectura Lee Chile Lee Lee (PNFL) presents the compilation book ‘A story a day’, that brings together various stories for children.

This book is part of the "A story a day" program of PNFL providing incentives since 2012 for adults -parents, siblings, grandparents, educators, librarians, etc. – to read daily to children. This is based on the idea that  reading in early childhood is crucial in the development of people and their reading habits.
"Reading to children early on has a number of advantages that enhance their intellectual, emotional and social growth, not only because it allows to establisha bond with those who read to them but also because they can better understand their own world," said Soledad Camponovo program coordinator of Lee Chile Lee.

This anthology includes 13 stories written by Chilean authors, including Alicia Morel and Floridor Pérez, who represent different generations and visions of children's literature of our country, stories which were also enriched with illustrations by 12 young Chilean artists.
The new publication, with 6000 copies will be distributed in 15 regions through regional plans of Lee Chile Lee, and through libraries, educational establishments, hospitals and unconventional reading spaces.
