The Emirates participate in a cultural consultative meeting between the GCC Countries and Jordan

The Cultural Committee in the GCC Countries recently held a consultative meeting with the cultural delegation of the Kingdom of Jordan, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh in the presence of Dr. Habib Ghuloom al Attar, director of the Cultural Activities Department at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development.

The meeting discussed the draft memorandum of understanding on joint cultural cooperation between the GCC countries and Jordan, and coordinating efforts and positions on various topics related to cultural, artistic and literary fields.

The memorandum contained many points , including direct contact between cultural institutions from both sides and their cooperation in the fields of literature, arts , heritage, archives , libraries, and the exchange of cultural information and direct contact between intellectuals , writers and authors in the GCC countries and the Kingdom of Jordan, in addition to the exchange of cultural and artistic information and visits between creatives , as well as conducting seminars , meetings and conferences concerning the culture of both sides , thus promoting cooperation between the GCC countries and Jordan , and its cultural institutions and creators.

It also included encouragement for both sides to conduct  fine arts and visual exhibitions, and specialized workshops in the field of preserving intangible heritage , and the emphasis on participating in different book exhibitions , which are held between the two sides and exchanging cultural days between the GCC countries and  Jordan, noting that the meeting was an opportunity to meet with cultural affairs officials from both sides to exchange views and advice in cultural affairs and building bridges of cultural cooperation.
