Minister of Culture of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan received the delegation of the Ministry of Sports and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan

At the invitation of the RA Minister of Culture, delegation of the Ministry of Sports and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Minister Arystanbek Muhamediuly is on a visit to Yerevan on October 5-10.
On October 8 the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan attended the photo exhibition «Kazakhstan» at the Museum of Russian Art. On the very day in the evening the honorable guest will be present at the gala concert of the International Festival «Silk Road».
On October 8 the Minister of Culture of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan received the delegation of the Ministry of Sports and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Minister Arystanbek Muhamediuly.
Welcoming the guests, Hasmik Poghosyan highly assessed the Armenian-Kazakh cultural cooperation, focusing on the participation in festivals, theater, cinema, music, literature, heritage conservation areas, as well as within the framework of international cooperation.
The parties assessed the results of the previous years as satisfactory and outlined future plans.
Then Armenian Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan and Minister of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Muhamediuly signed «The cooperation program between the RA Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2014-2016».
The program consists of 17 articles and relates to the arts and culture sectors.
The program is based on the «Agreement on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Armenia», signed on 6 October 2006 in Astana.
This document will create favorable conditions aspects to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the following directions: theater and circus arts, cinema, literature, translation, publishing industry, library and museum industry, fine arts, decorative-applied art and modern art. The two sides will promote development of direct cooperation between musical organizations, exchange of musical bands, experts and performers, as well as the expansion of ties between creative associations. The project will allow exchanging information on the international festivals, held in our countries, will promote cooperation in the field of cinematography, encouraging cooperation between national cinema makers. The program will enable the cultural educational institutions of the two countries to establish direct ties. The two sides will exchange information on cultural heritage, conservation, restoration, use and popularization of monuments, as well as organize research and practical seminars, symposiums, meetings of experts, possibilities to organize joint expeditions. At the same time, the access to cultural values in the archives, libraries and museums of the two countries will be provided.
