IFACCA is delighted to announce that Stephen Wainwright, CEO of CreativeNZ – Arts Council of New Zealand Toi Aotearoa, has been elected by the IFACCA Board as its Chair from 1 January 2015 until the next General Assembly in October 2016, replacing Alan Davey, CEO Arts Council England whose term concludes this month.
Stephen Wainwright joined Creative New Zealand in 1990 and was appointed Chief Executive in 2008. Prior to being appointed Chief Executive, he was Acting Chief Executive and had been a member of Creative New Zealand’s senior management team since 2002 as Manager of Arts Infrastructure Services. Mr Wainwright is an experienced public policy professional, with a strong interest in governance and support for the arts.
Mr Wainwright, who has been an IFACCA board member since January 2013, will lead the organisation in the finalisation and implementation of the new Strategic Plan 2015–2018.
