The mobile application was awarded by the Ministry of Culture of Argentina.

The Ministry of Culture declared the Video Game ‘Preguntados’ of Cultural Interest. According to Resolution M. C. Nº4600, issued in December 2014, "video games are part of a growing cultural industry locally and globally, and free download applications allow mass dissemination of Argentinian production to the world". Furthermore, the recognition highlights the format of the game, which promotes education from recreational resources and allows access to knowledge in a personalized way.

This is the first time in Argentina that a mobile game receives this distinction. Created by Maximo Cavazzani, president of Etermax SA, this trivia game has reached 125 million users worldwide, leading the No.1 position in Argentina, Spain, United States and 22 other countries.

The game allows users to challenge their friends ‘in a framework of cultural competence’. The application offers quality questions with dynamic local content. Furthermore, the same user community is what produces the content. Thus, through a mobile and playful tool Preguntados generates interest in learning and transmitting knowledge to others.

Preguntados has also received other awards in 2014 such as a nomination for "Addiction of the Year" at the MTV Millennial Awards, the "App favorite" award at the Kids Choice Awards, the "App of the Year" award by Amazon USA and the most recent nomination for "Best Mobile Game App" in the Global Mobile Awards to be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The Ministry of Culture proposes, through the National Office of Cultural Industries, to design and implement policies designed to stimulate experimental forms of expression that incorporate new technologies.
