UNWTO secretary general at the first ever joint tourism and culture conference with UNESCO

The first ever joint conference by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNESCO) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on tourism and culture is currently being held in the Cambodian tourism capital. The event, billed as the World Conference on Tourism and Culture, held its opening ceremony earlier today and was attended by Mr. Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia; Mr. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, Kingdom of Cambodia; Ms. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, Kingdom of Cambodia; Alfredo Pérez de Armiñiàn, Assistant Director General for Culture of UNESCO; and His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board & President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities were among the dignitaries who were present at the opening ceremony.
