27 March 2015, Argentina

The Network is a digital space that gathers information about poetry and songwriting.

The country we deserve, where we are all included, is a collective song, a coral, with all our voices and our dreams," said the Minister of Culture, Teresa Parodi, on Friday 27 March at Technopolis, where she participated in the launch of the Federal Poetry Network with the Ministry of Education, Alberto Sileoni, and the president of the National Commission of Public Libraries (CONABIP), Angela Signes.

The Network is an initiative of the Ministries of Culture and Education and CONABIP, bringing together into a single digital information space activities and projects throughout the country around reading and writing poetry and lyrics. The Network organizes the first federal poetry festival in the framework of the ‘Meeting of the Word 2015’ Festival (Encuentro de la Palabra 2015).
About the Federal Poetry Network

It is a joint initiative of the Ministries of Education and Culture and CONABIP. The Network collects available information in a digital form on activities, group projects, and actions by individuals and groups across the country about poetry and song writing.

The Network is composed by poets, songwriters, literary and poetic collective groups, fairs, festivals, training courses, writing workshops, poetry performances, publishers and magazines, radio and television programs, projects in schools and libraries and includes expressions such as rap, song, oral poetry, minstrels, jugglers and orators, among others.

Since last December, it is possible to register in a database that was enabled in www.educ.ar/redfederaldepoesia and now has about 2,000 registered participants throughout Argentina.
