Wales has a new arts online magazine - and a new critics fund to support more expert, diverse and varied reviewing throughout Wales.
The new online magazine is called Arts Scene in Wales and can be visited at www.asiw.co.uk. It is edited by leading arts journalist Mike Smith with a team of independent critics and writers from a range of age groups, arts expertise and backgrounds, writing in English and in Welsh.
Arts Scene in Wales is also a new platform for artists to write about their work, share what they are looking forward to seeing in Wales and also has a performance listings section.
What makes the site unique is a New Critics section that is a safe and secure space for young and new reviewers and writers to have their work published alongside the professional critics, avoiding the ghettoising of new writers.
