The Ministry of Culture celebrated its first anniversary with different activities throughout the country and closed the day with a massive milonga at the Palais de Glace, which brought together different expressions of art and tango culture.

"Today was an important day, full of joy and happiness, because a year ago the president of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, created the first Ministry of Culture and assigned Teresa Parodi as the first Minister of Culture, a popular artist and singer, but also an activist and a person who knows the cultural identity of our country, "said the Deputy Secretary for Cultural Rights and Popular Participation, Emiliano Gareca. .

"During the day we visited, among other places, the Malvinas Museum, the National Library, the Book Fair and the Central House of Popular Culture, another success of the Ministry that seeks to recognize cultural rights of the most vulnerable. And nothing better to close the celebration than with emblematic milonga, " the Deputy Secretary said during the ceremony that preceded the dance, which was also attended by the Secretary of Coordination for National Strategic Thinking, Ricardo Forster; the Undersecretary of Public Culture and Creativity, María Elena Troncoso; National Arts director, Rodolfo García; Director of Academic Affairs and Regional Policy, Francisco "Tete" Romero; and the coordinator of The Program " Tango de mis amores, año Gardeliano," Daniel Fratantoni.
