Qatar and the UK are continuously broadening their cultural ties with the staging of events that cover various fields such as arts, education, science and sports, British ambassador Nicholas Hopton told Gulf Times.

The envoy was speaking about the impact of the cultural events such as the Qatar – UK Year of Culture in 2013 and the month-long British festival, held from March to April.

Hopton said the two countries are finding new ways to further develop their cultural relationship and set new levels for international cultural co-operation.
